Message Campaign

This social media campaign serves to encourage news literacy to prevent the spread of misinformation and threats to democracy. The main objectives were to provide resources about fact-checking and ways to become a more informed participant.

The branding identity of the asterisk (*) draws attention to fake, sensational headlines. Several deliverables and merchandise were created to get the word out. The visual identity aims to be friendly and inviting, to contrast with the aggressiveness and shame usually associated with fact-checking, and to avoid alienating the targeted audience.
