Inspired by the analog information design Dear Data project by Giorgia Lupi and Stefanie Posavec, Dear Sister consists of an analog infographic exchange between myself, a Graphic Design student in the U.S., and my sister, an Aerospace Engineer in France with a Master’s Degree in Astrophysics.

My sister and I mailed each other hand-drawn, space-related infographics on postcards over five months, and documented our experience. We came up with ten relevant topics and used the same sources, but had complete creative freedom in regards to layout, design and organization. I shared surveys to gather feedback and evaluate our objective of conveying information clearly on a restricted postcard format, and summarized the whole project into a final process book.
